Nutmeg Banda whole
Nutmeg is the dried seed kernel of the nutmeg fruit and is surrounded by a hard shell, and pericarp (mace). Once well dried and removed from the fruit, pericarp and shell, the nutmeg is very hard and can be used after grating. Nutmeg has a sweet and pleasant smell and gives a warm feeling.
Taste and flavour is kept longer in whole form than in ground.
