Oregano is the "wild" variety of cultivated marjoram. It is a wild herb, which gives off aromatic fragrances over a wide area. Oregano has a soft sweet aroma, but is a bit harsher in taste than marjoram.

Freeze drying is a natural treatment to store fresh herbs longer without loss of taste. Through the use of very low temperatures the moisture is removed from the herbs. The essential oils, colour, structure and taste remain intact. What if freeze dried herbs come into contact with liquid like in soups, sauces or dressings? Than they reconstitute to their garden fresh characteristics!
